Connecting Steam by QR code and Steam Guard
By QR (recommended)
- In the panel, press "Connect" on your plan row and choose "QR".
- Open the Steam app on your phone, tap the shield icon at the bottom and choose "Scan a QR code".
- Scan the code on screen and confirm the sign-in.
The QR code refreshes every 15 seconds. If you miss it, scan the new one.
With password and Steam Guard
- Choose "Login and password" and enter your Steam login and password.
- If Steam asks for a code, enter the one from the Steam app or your email. If the app shows a confirm button, press it.
Common situations
- "Wrong password": check your Steam login (not your nickname) and password.
- No code arrived: check your spam folder or connect by QR.
- "Session expired": your Steam password changed or all devices were signed out. Reconnect in the panel.
