Why do hours matter in CS2?

17.10.20262 min read

Anyone who opens a CS2 profile sees "hours played" first. It is the quickest way to form an opinion about a player.

In trades

New low-hour accounts are treated with caution, because scammers often make new accounts. A high-hour profile looks more trustworthy.

In teams and lobbies

People looking for teammates often judge experience by hours. Skill matters more than hours, of course, but first impressions count too.

How many hours are enough?

There is no fixed rule. For many people a profile past 1000 hours looks "experienced". That is why the 1111-hour plan is the most popular one, and premium features are free with it.

Keep in mind: hours do not replace skill. They only add trust to your profile at first glance.
